The First Week
First 24 to 48 hours
- Keep the vehicle dry and out of rain, sprinklers and dew if you can. A garage or covered spot is best.
- Avoid dirty or dusty roads where possible while the coating cures.
First 7 days
- Do not wash the vehicle.
- Do not apply wax, sealant or any other product on top of the coating.
- If something lands on the paint, do not wipe it dry. Soften it with a wet microfiber towel and quick detailer, then lift it off gently.
Ongoing Care
Washing
- Hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo, clean microfiber mitts and the two-bucket method.
- Avoid automatic car washes with brushes. Touchless is better, hand washing is best.
- Dry with a soft microfiber towel to prevent water spots.
- Wash every 1 to 2 weeks if you can.
Keep it clean
- Remove bird droppings, bugs, sap and water spots promptly.
- Avoid harsh degreasers, strong acidic or alkaline cleaners and abrasive polishes.
- Optional: a ceramic-safe maintenance spray helps keep the surface slick.
What to Expect
What it does
- Strong water-beading, a slick, easy-to-clean surface and UV protection.
What it does not do
- It does not make paint scratch-proof, rock-chip-proof or etch-proof. Dirt wipes off more easily, but bird droppings and water spots should still be removed promptly.
