Meet the Installer
About MRK Customz: My Story
I’m Marcus Kubes, owner and lead installer at MRK Customz. I did my first vinyl wrap in 2020. Life and raising kids put me on a hiatus, and in early 2025 I came back to it full force, learning paint correction and paint protection film, including about a year doing PPF full-time in a professional shop. Since then I’ve wrapped and protected 50+ vehicles and installed several premium films, including MiracleCoat.
I’m down to earth and easy to work with, and I like hearing about your car and what you want it to be.
My goal is simple: make you fall in love with your car again. Maybe you are tired of the color, bored with how it looks, or just want it to feel new. I will make it yours, make it pop, and not hand it back until you are happy with it.
Great work takes time, so every job gets full prep, careful installation, and a final inspection with no shortcuts. You are paying for results that last.
I got into this work because I love cars, and I love turning someone’s idea of how their car should look into reality.
Why MRK
How I Work on Your Car
The film matters, but most of the result comes from prep and taking my time.
The Film
I install cast vinyl from 3M, Avery Dennison and KPMF, and MiracleCoat paint protection film. I don’t use cheap off-brand film. Good film has better color depth, holds up to sun, and comes off cleanly later as long as the paint underneath is healthy.
Careful With Your Paint
I cut PPF on a plotter as much as I can. Some panels, like a hood, come out cleaner with better edge coverage if I lay a bulk piece and trim it on the car. When I do that, I only cut through the film, never into your paint. For wraps I use knifeless tape wherever I can. When the job calls for it, I take hardware off so the edges can be tucked and rolled, which is what makes it look like it came from the factory.
Before It Goes Home
Every job is post-heated, I check every edge, and it cures indoors before you pick it up. Then I walk you through how to wash it and what to avoid so it lasts.
How I Work
My Process
Every car goes through the same three steps.
01
Talk and Inspect
We talk about what you want, I look over the paint, and we pick the film or coating that fits.
02
Decontamination & Prep
Every car gets a multi-stage wash, iron decontamination, a clay bar and panel prep, so the film or coating bonds properly.
03
Install and Cure
The film is stretched, tucked, trimmed and post-heated. Then I go over the car with you before I hand back the keys.
